Care Instructions

• Lighting: Moderate to high. Thrives under strong LED, T5, or metal halide lighting. Blue spectrum brings out its electric coloration.

• Flow: Moderate to strong. Ensure sufficient, indirect flow to keep polyps extended without damaging tissue.

• Placement: Mid to lower areas of the tank; provide space of at least 4–6 inches from other corals due to long, stinging sweeper tentacles.

• Water Parameters:

  • Temperature: 76–80°F

  • Salinity: 1.025–1.026 SG

  • Alkalinity: 8–12 dKH

  • Calcium: 400–450 ppm

  • Magnesium: 1250–1350 ppm

  • Nitrates: <10 ppm

  • Phosphates: <0.03 ppm

• Feeding: While photosynthetic, it benefits from occasional target feeding with meaty foods (mysis, reef roids, or coral foods) 1–2 times per week.

• Compatibility: Semi-aggressive; keep away from other corals to prevent stinging. Avoid placement near delicate LPS or SPS corals.
